Your boyfriend (and best friend) must have been in terrible pain that he wanted and needed to end. Unfortunately, the law in New Jersey does not allow for any significant adjustment of penalties because of an individual’s circumstances (particularly for 1st offenders). Many clients, like you, have their emotional issues come to a head after being arrested, and can make positive changes. I wish you well in your dwi case and for your healing. I lost my boyfriend and best friend to suicide 2 and a half years ago and am left with numerous feelings.. I feel I am depressed... I have social anziety.. all things I never felt before the suicide. I recently got a DUI.. the first time in my life I have ever gotten into trouble.
